Old Folks Left In The Cold
I've come to the conclusion that there is no heart or compassion or sense of fairness in the hearts and minds of a certain polictical party. No, I haven't been under a rock all these years nor have I just woke up from a longstanding coma. I just believed that there are certain special gifts bestowed upon us who know God and have a genuine love for the God we worship, but it seems to me that folks in that politcal party have a way of dispelling that myth in my mind every second of every day. Is there anyone out there who can understand their way of thinking and what may or may not be in their hearts I know what their saying, I hear them all the time, and the majority of the stuff they spout is... I don't know... I think my late butally honest father said it best, they are just talking out their asses or mayby their just plain ignorant, ignorant about how complex our American society really is. Everytime I see either politcal party's 4 year get together, there is a very obvious distinction that is quite noticeable, and I don't need to point it out, it is apparent that there are simply 2 different American societies; and from this I see diversity in one and the lack of in the other. The other political party wants to abolish medicare, medicade, any reduce all the other entitlements that all of us in our early 50's have worked for ever since we were old enough to work, and when I do reach that age of eligibility I will be handed a coupon at my advanced age to go out and shop for healthcare from an insurance company that will probably laugh in my face and then they'll just escort my old ass out. I do hope that there is someone in that other party who will step up and stand up to all the ideaologies that they are controlled by and say this is wrong and I won't agree to this any longer, or maybe he or she won't, cause they don't want to be one of the old folks left in the cold.
The Learning Curve
To most of you folks out there who have grown to love sports, I just thought I would try lay a little unknown fact on you about how a lot of this stuff works in determining what team will be the cream that rises to the top in their respective leagues to be crowned a champion; case in point, last weeks Dallas Maverick victory over the Miami Heat. I really didn't have a horse in this race because I have been a consumate Laker fan since the late 60's and from all those experiences alone, watching all those losses against the Celtics, and finally seeing the fruits of all that in the 80's 90's and the 2000's, I have developed somewhat of a "special insight" into the NBA. Now I have to admit, at this point in my life I grown to really "DESPISE" the brand of the NBA and what it stands for today, to me it is TOTALLY UNWATCHABLE!!! It looks like AND-ONE basketball on the steriods. But enough of my personal feelings, the insight I've gained by watching who is, or who would be determined champ is pure and simple, It is literally based on who has to take the most ASS WHIPPINS along the way to achieve the crown. You simply just don't get it handed over to you because your team has "ALLEDGEDLY" the best players or the best coach or the owner with the deepest pockets, you have to play the game for 48 minutes and in the process you "MUST GET YOUR ASS KICKED OVER AND OVER AGAIN YEAR AFTER YEAR" (if you want it that bad) to reach that ultimate goal. The Miami Heat's "3 headed stooges" were young and very foolish, and I remember their display of foolish behavior in that staged event in their arena, I haven't forgotten the look on Pat Riley's face at that event while he was in attendence, his expression was priceless to me, "Boy, they don't have have a clue, there's a'lot of ass beatings going to take place with this team before it said and done". I could see it in his eyes, with detached, cool demeaner. Well that's all I care to expouse on this useless piece of sports information, it was given for entertainment purposes only. But rest assured the NBA's ratings will continue to plummett, probably lower than watching those guys play poker on ESPN.

What this is about
What this blog is about is truth, pure and simple. Sometimes it will hurt, sometimes it will enlighten, give us pause, shock you and make say humm... I don't consider myself a scholar on the matters that I will take great pleasure in expounding on but I will say that I have lived through some of the most tumultuous decades in our history, the 1960, 70's, 80's, 90's what's present and hopefully what's on the horizon. My interest have such a wide spectrum; entertainment, (the media), sports, politics, law, common sense, non-sense (there seems to be alot of that around) the stupid, the insane, the cool, the beautiful, the smart and intelligent, the peaceful, the loud, and most of all those folk who seem to think they know what the hell is going on but don't have a damn clue (with this last group, I figure I ought to have quite a bit to speak on) I hope this goes well, and I think i'll have some fun.
